East River to hold it's Annual Meeting

East River Electric Comparative will hold its Annual Meeting this Wednesday in Sioux Falls. The title of this years meeting is, "Our Energy, Our Future." East River personnel will discuss the new East River strategic plan, review the past year's construction projects as well as the plans for the upcoming year.
Also this year a candidate forum will take place at 1:30. U.S. House candidate Chris Lien, U.S. Senate candidate Joel Dykstra, and Public Utilities Commissioner candidates Gary Hanson and Matt McLarty will attend. Senator Tim Johnson will speak at 11:30. U.S. Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin will also provide a message.
East River will also present the cooperative's highest honor, the Eminent Service Award. The award honors individuals who have shown superior commitment toward cooperative values.
The annual meeting begins at 9:45 Wednesday, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
