Johnson Speaks at East River Annual Meeting

U.S. Senator Tim Johnson addressed the East River Electric Annual Meeting Wednesday in Sioux Falls. Johnson said he believes what is good for South Dakota's electric cooperative community is good for the entire state, adding that he helped to pass a freight railroad bill that strengthens protections for shippers and levels the playing field for shippers who have access to only on rail carrier.

The Annual Meeting of East River Electric was attended by about 350 people, consisting of East River employees, board members, area coop members, and WAPA and Basin Electric officials.
