Rec Trail in Madison to Have Official Opening Next Week

The Recreational Trail Advisory Committee will hold a dedication ceremony for the newly finished Lake Madison Recreational Trail Wednesday October 17th at Flynn Field. Madison city employees, along with state and federal officials will be in attendance. The 4.2-mile trail was completed late last month.

After the dedication ceremony, attendees will be invited to use their bikes, walking shoes, rollerblades and wheelchairs to take part in the first Lake Madison Trail Bike, Hike and Roll.

The dedication ceremony begins on October 17th at 5:30 at the trail head near Flynn Field.
