ALERT - Police Looking for Man Offering Rides to School Boys in Madison
Posted on Thursday, October 9, 2008
The Madison Police Department received a call Wednesday, Oct. 8th at 3:35PM that two boys were approached near the bus-stop at the old Lincoln school offering rides. The boys both ran to their homes and parents were alerted.
The description is vague, but officers are checking the sex-offender lists to see if there is a match to the description they have been given. So far, there have not been any matches and no arrests have been made.
The car is described as possibly being an older, Chevy 4-door, whitish/yellowish in color, but seemed very dirty (so could have even been tan) with a lot of rust on the bottom. The interior is described as having brown, ripped seats.
The man is described as being middle-aged with dark-tanned skin, a white hat, large but clear glasses, scruffy beard.
If you have any information, please contact the Madison Police Department at 256-7531.
