DSU Blood Drive
Posted on Thursday, October 16, 2008
The Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive on Monday from 8:30-11:50 a.m. and 1:20-3:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Center at Dakota State University.
The only way the Community Blood Bank can ensure an adequate local blood supply is through volunteers donating blood. One person donating blood can make a difference in up to three people's lives.
There continues to be a constant need for blood for traumas, surgeries, accidents and cancer treatments. It takes 20-25 minutes to donate blood.
Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good general health on the day of the donation. Donors should eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating and must bring an ID with them.
Walk-ins are welcome.
