Fargen to Work on Alternative Energy

Representative-elect Mitch Fargen says he plans to work on alternative energy issues. Fargen was elected to representive District 8 in the state House of Representatives...last week. He says he'll start by working with representatives of the ethanol industry and Governor Mike Rounds to improve the tax structure for ethanol. He says there is a need for more incentive for development of wind generation in South Dakota and he'll work on that. He says one challenge is financing the construction of power lines to deliver the power to markets where it is needed.
