A consultant says the overall condition of the Madison High School building is about what should be expected after almost 45-years. Scott Younie of Neumann Monson Wictor Architects in Sioux City says a lot of things need attention on the building, but drainage, the roof and fire code issues are the most important. He says it's hard to run a good program if you can't keep the water out of the building. While it's not required, Younie says there are a number issues related to the Americans with Disabilities Act that also should be given attention.
