Green and His Art at Whitehouse

The Art of Madison South Dakota artist John Green is on display at the Whitehouse on the Whitehouse Christmas tree.

Green was required to keep silent until Tuesday, but he worked through the summer to get a painted ornament completed and to Washington by October 1st.

He says First Lady Laura Bush asked Senator Tim Johnson and other members of Congress to name artists from their states for the project.

Green's ornament includes an image of Mount Rushmore.Green is in Washington for a Whitehouse reception along with artists from other states.
