Dakota State Announces Fall Commencement

Fall commencement exercises are scheduled at Dakota State University Saturday, December 13th at 10:30 a.m. in the Fieldhouse in Madison.

Dakota State will award degrees to 119 candidates; 35 masters, 79 baccalaureate and 8 associate degrees.

Wade Pogany, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, for the South Dakota Department of Education will serve as the commencement speaker.

Pogany led the creation and implementation of the Classroom Connection laptop program which has placed laptop computers in the hands of 30% of the state's high school students and 1,000-teachers. He has been with the Department of Education for eight years.
