Madison Public Works Begins Hydrant Flushing

If you live within the Madison City limits and you’ve noticed your clothes are looking a little orange after you get done with laundry, it could be because the City of Madison's public works department began their fall hydrant flushing on Tuesday. The flushing is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. The public works department warns that flushing may make water rusty, so residents should check their water for clarity before using it for household needs, especially before doing laundry.
