Special Public Meeting in April
Posted on Wednesday, January 7, 2009
The Lake County Commission will hold a special public meeting in April on the question of whether and how land,at the west end of Lake Madison, should be developed.
The Commission took no action Tuesday after hearing from members of the public interested in the question.
Some say it should be developed into residential property and others say it should be a public access area developed with the Game Fish and Parks Department, or if not with G-F and P,privately.
A proposal to keep the land in the hands of the county, but have it administered by Game Fish and Parks for shore fishing was tabled last week.
