Camping

Lake Herman State Park is located two miles west of Madison off SD Hwy 34. From camping to boating to cross-country skiing, this park offers something for everyone. Seventy electrical campsites are available, two tent-only sites and two camping cabins. Visitors to the park can play disc golf, hike, cross-country ski, canoe, play horseshoes or immerse themselves in the history of the area.

Walker's Point Recreation Area is located nine miles southeast of Madison off SD Hwy 19. Tucked along the shore of Lake Madison, this park is perfect for campers and anglers. Forty-three campsites, one tent-only site and two camping cabins are located near the water and many offer picturesque views of the lake. Enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming.

The Lakeshore Golf and Camping Resort is located just west of Madison near Lake Madison. Electric hookups are available for the spacious pull-thru campsites. The campground is located next to the Lakes Golf Course with the driving range and club house privileges available to guests. The campground boasts a spacious private swimming beach with paddle boats for rent.
